f^3 – my favourite things – Kitchen Gadgets

Welcome to the future

The awesome collection of my favourite kitchen gadgets including some incredible prototypes from the intense banana slicer to the Vacuum Cooker.

Some of these are not out yet but like me you can subscribe to get a notification as soon as they start selling.

Mellow – A Sous-Vide – Basically it’s a vacuum packed water cooker used mostly be restaurants to cook food to perfection meaning the process of steaming is equal on all ingredients. You can remote control the cooking process through your smartphone which means you just throw the ingredients into the Mellow and start it by app so your dinner is ready when you get home.

Miito – This is my favorite product on the list – it is designed to heat any liquid directly in a vessel which means you don’t heat up any water you don’t need and save a lot of energy. It conveniently heats up any liquid (sauces, soups and so on)

Prepara – This company is designing the most beautiful gadgets for your kitchen. From the Evak (Vaccum Sealing Tube) through the Deluxe Mist Spray … just browse through their collection. I love it and have a couple of items at home already. The Evak is really good for coffee or cereal.

Gripet – It’s a fridge organizer which means it sticks to your fridge with magnets. so you can stick you notes to the fridge easily but be aware the magnet was too weak before and the whole thing kept sliding but hopefully they corrected the mistake.

Jamie Oliver Wood-fired Oven – It is quite expensive but for your perfect garden arrangement working with an actual wood-fired oven is the perfect way to experience cooking outside. The small one for 1100 and the big one for 2000 pounds.

Quirky Citrus Spritzer – A brilliant idea that actually turns your lemon into a citrus spray.

Banana Slicer – Somebody finally realized the need of this product – the agony to use a knife for cutting those stupid bananas is finally over. It frees us of the tyranny and opens our mind to finally be able to do the more important things in life… like peeling a cherry perfectly. And please take your time to read the comments by other buyers which at this moment are 5280 reviews and 570 questions answered to this sophisticated design. I spent an hour laughing.

REVIEW 1:
For decades I have been trying to come up with an ideal way to slice a banana. “Use a knife!” they say. Well…my parole officer won’t allow me to be around knives. “Shoot it with a gun!” Background check…HELLO! I had to resort to carefully attempt to slice those bananas with my bare hands. 99.9% of the time, I would get so frustrated that I just ended up squishing the fruit in my hands and throwing it against the wall in anger. Then, after a fit of banana-induced rage, my parole officer introduced me to this kitchen marvel and my life was changed. No longer consumed by seething anger and animosity towards thick-skinned yellow fruit, I was able to concentrate on my love of theatre and am writing a musical play about two lovers from rival gangs that just try to make it in the world. I think I’ll call it South Side Story.
REVIEW 2:
What can I say about the 571B Banana Slicer that hasn’t already been said about the wheel, penicillin, or the iPhone…. this is one of the greatest inventions of all time. My husband and I would argue constantly over who had to cut the day’s banana slices. It’s one of those chores NO ONE wants to do! You know, the old “I spent the entire day rearing OUR children, maybe YOU can pitch in a little and cut these bananas?” and of course, “You think I have the energy to slave over your damn bananas? I worked a 12 hour shift just to come home to THIS?!” These are the things that can destroy an entire relationship. It got to the point where our children could sense the tension. The minute I heard our 6-year-old girl in her bedroom, re-enacting our daily banana fight with her Barbie dolls, I knew we had to make a change. That’s when I found the 571B Banana Slicer. Our marriage has never been healthier, AND we’ve even incorporated it into our lovemaking. THANKS 571B BANANA SLICER!
REVIEW 3:
I tried the banana slicer and found it unacceptable. As shown in the picture, the slicer is curved from left to right. All of my bananas are bent the other way.
